Our Story

Dr. Claudia Grott Zanicotti is an overseas-trained Doctor and Specialist Psychiatrist registered under the General Scope of Practice in New Zealand. She completed her medical degree at the Universidade Católica do Paraná in 2007, followed by specialist training in Psychiatry at the Universidade Federal do Paraná in Brazil.

 

After completing her postgraduate qualifications, Dr. Grott Zanicotti relocated to New Zealand to pursue a Master’s degree in Psychiatry at the University of Otago, where she investigated the use of Ketamine as a fast-acting antidepressant for terminal cancer patients. Claudia worked as a lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of Otago and as a doctor at Te Whatu Ora both in Whanganui and in Wellington.

 

Dr. Zanicotti has seen firsthand the therapeutic benefits of medicinal cannabis and now incorporates it into her mental health practice to better support her patients.
